with a passion for music and a Martin guitar. She is in her early
teens and lives in Fairbanks, Alaska, where she home-schools and
spends most of her time playing music, skiing, and writing stories.Bio
Mariah Z is a young singer/songwriter
with a passion for music and a Martin guitar. She is in her early
teens and lives in Fairbanks, Alaska, where she home-schools and
spends most of her time playing music, skiing, and writing stories.
All her recording is done in her home, and it's all Mariah. She lays tracks over one another (with technical support from her awesome brother) so she can sing and play along with herself.
She taught herself guitar at age ten, giving her an unusual style, and she has been singing all her life. She started writing songs when she was eleven years old, when her family spent a year living in Seattle. Now she performs at local coffeehouses and folk festivals, but had her first international debut January of 2008 when she played in Mexico.
She is thrilled to have her first publishable album done! All of her music is original, homegrown and acoustic, and she weaves Celtic and folk in with her own styles for a fresh sound. She hopes you enjoy listening as much as she does playing!
